Mrs. Clara Sue Johnson GowensMrs. Clara Sue Johnson Gowens age 47, of Starke passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center suddenly. Mrs. Gowens was born on January 24, 1964 in Starke. She was a homemaker and member of Pine Level Baptist Church where she worked with the Youth Department. She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Robert Johnson, Jr. Survivors are her husband of 23 years Jeffrey Wayne Gowens of Starke; daughter: Erica Beulah Gowens of Starke; mother: Jean L. Gunter Johnson of Starke; sisters: Alma Johnson Becker (Earl) of Worthington Springs; Shirley Johnson Dixon (John) and April Johnson Cagle (Eric) all of Starke; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL, 620 E. Nona St. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Terry Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
