Clarence Eugene Hartley Clarence Eugene Hartley, 92, passed away on Thursday October 18, 2012 in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday October 21, 2012 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. A Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 22, 2012 in Greenlawn Cemetery.Clarence was born in Mandarin on September 17, 1920 to James Alfred Hartley and Alice Catherine Starowsky Hartley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly during WWII. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, 2 sons, Thomas E. Hartley, Sr. & Lester Hartley and 2 grandsons, Thomas E. Hartley, Jr. & Freddy Hartley, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bernice M. Hartley; children, James F. Freddy Hartley, Sr. (Gloria), Jackie R. Stanley (David) Larry W. Hartley (Linda), Jimmy R. Hartley (Cathy Ann), Martha E. Weeks (Alan), Wayne R. Earick (Kathy), Marcia Senterfitt (Troy) & Bruce R. Earick (Karen); daughter-in-law, Sharese Hartley and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
