Claude Harold Burmeister, lovingly known by many as "Pee Wee," passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, near High Springs, Florida. He was 83.Harold is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Noel; his four children: Cindy Stroemple (Greg), Mark Burmeister (Denise), Samantha Loveland (Jonathan), and Bradley Burmeister (Jessica); and his beloved grandchildren: Brandon, Adam, Chloe, Jasen, Sailor, Colten, and Waylon. He is also survived by his brother Bill Burmeister (Lucille), sister Linda Perry (Carl, deceased), and several nieces and nephews.Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Harold graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High School and completed a five-year apprenticeship with Plumbers Local 519. A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country between 67-68. Harold spent his career working with dedication and integrityas a partner in Halart Plumbing, owner of Good Neighbor Plumbing, and later with the Dade County School Board. He finished his career at the University of Florida, retiring in 2007, leaving a legacy of hard work and dedication. Harold was a Mason for over fifty years and was Past Worshipful Master of Oleeta West Dade Lodge #145. He also had membership in Shriners and Scottish Rite.Harold had a deep love for fishing and the outdoors, especially the Florida Everglades and the woods of North Florida, where he found peace and joy throughout his life.A celebration of Pee Wees life will be held in September, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in his memory.
