Claude Eugene "Gene" Plunk Claude Eugene Gene Plunk, 60, passed away on Friday September 30, 2011 at the Community Hospice, Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. Gene was born in Peoria, Illinois on June 5, 1951 to Marlie A. Plunk & Marie L. Rentz Plunk. A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Gene was a General Contractor and the owner/operator of Total Construction Solutions. When not working, Gene was an avid fisherman. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Marlie A. Plunk. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Peggy Ann Plunk; 5 sons, Michael, Todd (Sheila), Duane, Chuck 7 grandchildren, Cameron, Amber, Duane, Falyn, Gracieanna, Corbin & Maverick; a great grandson, Caiden; his mother, Marie Brunofsky; a brother, Morris; 2 sisters, Ann & Ann Marie and many extended family members.The family will receive friends on Monday October 3, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at George Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd S., hewellfuneralhomes.com. A funeral service will held at 2 pm on Tuesday October 4, 2011 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
