Dr. Stone was born on October 24, 1940 in Hartwell, GA to Harold B. & Belle (Baker) Stone. After serving 23 years in the United States Navy, Dr. Stone decided to retire and put himself through school to become a Chiropractor. Dr. Stone was a Chiropractor for the North Florida Back and Pain Institute in Orange Park for 23 years. He was also a member of the Keystone Heights First Baptist Church and the Florida Chiropractic Association. His survivors include his wife of 11 years, Carol (Clemons); Father, Harold B. Stone of Hartwell, GA; children, Myra Zollner (Terry) and Michelle Stone all of Elberton, GA; Melissa Stone of Hartwell, GA; Dale Beeche (Sandy) of Live Oak, FL. Brothers: Larry A. Stone (Irene) of Greenville, SC; Hugh D. Stone (Becky) of Hartwell, GA. Grandchildren; Jerry, T.J., Noah, Matthew, Jaleesa, Clifford, Aletheia, Shelby, Desiree, Machon, Khaela, and Holdon. Great great grandchildren, Abigail, Kashea, Nicaleigh, and Mikaela. Dr. Stone was preceded in death by his mother and a daughter, Kim Dunman. Viewing for Dr. Stone will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 5-7 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10 oclock in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Prose officiating. Burial will follow at the Douglas Cemetery in Lake Butler, FL.
