Clinton Maurice Morrison, Sr. Clinton Maurice Morrison, Sr., 93, passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2013 in Jacksonville. He was born in Benevolence, Georgia on July 10, 1920 to Oscar E. & Ida Snipes Morrison. Mr. Morrison proudly served his country and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, where he was a Fire Controlman. Mr. Morrison was preceded in death by his parents & siblings and by his beloved wife, Marjorie Victoria Morrison. He is survived by his children, Clinton Maurice Morrison, Jr., Vicky Rebecca Morrison & Timothy Lee Morrison; 6 grandchildren, Laura, Angela, Clinton III, Tonya, Margery & Shelly; 18 great grandchildren and by many extended family & friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 7, 2013 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday December 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
