Mr. Clyde Alonza Carpenter age 82, of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park. He was born September 12, 1932 in Jacksonville to the late Crawford F. and Betty (Young) Carpenter, Sr., and had been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1978. Mr. Carpenter was a Business Agent for the Teamsters Local Union 512 in Jacksonville for over 25 years before retiring. He was also a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church in Melrose and in his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife Mamie E. (Batt) and his brother Crawford F. Carpenter, Jr. Survivors are one daughter, one son, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. There are no scheduled services at this time. Interment for Mr. Carpenter was at Gadara Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 340 E.
