Conceicao "Connie" Correia

Mrs. Conceicao "Connie" Correia, 82 of Green Cove Springs, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019. Mrs. Correia was born November 14, 1936 in St. Michael, Azores to parents Francisco and Conceicao (Oliveira) Cafua. Connie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and will be remembered as having a strong catholic faith. She always wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of and never wanted anyone to go hungry. Connie was a quiet and gentle woman who loved children and her family. Her parents and her brothers, Antonio Oliveira, Jose Oliveira, and Manuel Oliveira preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Jose Correia of Green Cove Springs, children, Fatima Correia and Maria Correia both of Green Cove Springs, and sisters, Maria Do Rosario Santos, Maria Santa Ribeiro, and Natividade. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Jason Lima (Amber) of Jacksonville, Marc (Brittney) of Orange Park, Spencer Correia and Nichole Correia both of Green Cove Springs, and great grandchildren, Landen Brandt, Logan Brandt, and Bear Lima. Vigil services will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island with Father Donal Sullivan presiding. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in St. Augustine.
