Funeral services for Conrad McLaurin Thigpen, 92, will be held at 2:00P.M. Friday, November 20, 2015 from the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Olsen officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Navy. Born August 19, 1923 in Bay Springs, Mississippi to Lizzie and Edgar Thigpen, Mr. Thigpen died Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was retired owner and operator of Thigpen's Paint & Body Shop. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Mae Marshall Thigpen of Jacksonville; his son, Bryant Lee (Jill) Thigpen; and a granddaughter, Jillian L. Thigpen, both of Saint Johns, Florida.
