Mrs. Constance "Connie" L. Califano age 77 of Keystone Heights passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in Jacksonville. She was born March 21, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee to Lamar and Marian (Lester) Brewer. She graduated with the class of 1963 from Nathan B. Forrest High School in Jacksonville, and was employed as a bank manager for 23 years. Mrs. Califano was a Parishioner of St. William Catholic Church and enjoyed being outside looking over the lake or piddling in the yard. She was very family oriented, and the grandchildren always looked forward to pizza and ice cream night with her. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Joseph Frank Califano and their grandson Dalton Crofton. Mrs. Califano is survived by her children Teresa Holloway (Timothy) of Middleburg and Billy Califano (Barbara) of Keystone Heights along with a sister Kay Dodson (Randy) of North Carolina and two bothers Don Brewer (Beverly) and Al Brewer both of Jacksonville. She was lovingly called "Granny" by grandchildren Kayla Vera (Allan), Michael Shirley, Elijah Myer, and Ryan Holloway and great grandchildren Emilia and Jackson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 5 - 7p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in St. William Catholic Church with Father Mason Wiggins presiding. Interment will follow at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
