Constance "Connie" Taylor Moon

Mrs. Constance "Connie" Taylor Moon, age 83, of Melrose passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born March 15, 1936, in Oakland, Maine to Albert and Ruth (Davis) Taylor. Prior to her retirement she worked as a Lab Technician. Mrs. Moon was of the Baptist Faith and Eastern Star; she also enjoyed sewing, baking bread and in her younger days she enjoyed camping. In addition to her parents her second husband of 29 years James "Jim" Moon and her childrens father Paul Shanley, Sr. have also preceded her in death. Mrs. Moon is survived by three sons Kevin Shanley, Paul Shanley and Dennis Shanley along with four step children Mary Galbraith (Tim), Linda Moon Eubanks (Kenny) deceased, James Moon, Jr. (Tina), and Frances Moon. Also left behind are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are no scheduled services at this time. Interment will be at Hickory Springs Cemetery in Dunnellon at a later date.
