Mrs. Consuelo Dodge age 77 of Starke passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Starke. She was born August 3, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Cutler and Doris (Stokes) Godfrey. Consuelo graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Denver with her last two years spent studying in Mexico. She was a Senior Secretary, who worked for M.I.T and Arthur D. Little, and retired from the University of Florida. Consuelo was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Starke and was active in many of the church ministries. She was also a well-known actress, director and author who was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity, and wrote a biography of the Everly Brothers. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Peter S. Godfrey. Left behind are her husband of 50 years, David L. Dodge of Keystone Heights, their daughter Jennifer Consuelo Dodge Weller of Starke and two step-sons, Lawrence E. Dodge of Virginia and Roger Dodge of New York. She also leaves one grandchild, Reagan Lee Weller of Starke and four step-grandchildren, Roger A. Dodge. Giordana Dodge and Everett Erichsen of New York and David D. Dodge of Virginia. Services for Consuelo will be on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Starke beginning at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial gift to the Glioblastoma Foundation P.O.
