Coral Jeanne Peterson Lee

Mrs. Coral Jeanne Peterson Lee age 94, of Keystone Heights passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born on July 11, 1922 in Edinburg, Pennsylvania to the late Gordon Leslie and Johanna May (Henley) Peterson. Jeanne was affectionately known as "Tweety" to her close family and friends. She had resided in Keystone Heights for twenty years before moving there from Lawtey. She worked at the Post Office in Lawtey where she retired as Post Master in 1984. Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Eugene Lee in 1991, and her son, John Covess Lee in 2012. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Marjorie (Peterson) Whetsel, Wayne Peterson, Elizabeth Jane (Peterson) Green, Richard Peterson, and David Peterson.She is survived by her daughter, Karen Jean Lee Martinez (Bill Hawfield) of Hickory, North Carolina; beloved daughter-in-law, Linda S. Lee of Keystone Heights; grandchildren, Eugenia Soledad Martinez (Baye Diasse) of Gainesville, Jon-Robert Spencer Lee of Keystone Heights, and Hannah Colleen Lee of Keystone Heights; and great grandson, Ahmadou Martinez Diasse. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.Family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church with a Celebration of Jeannes Life starting at 3:00 p.m. Pastor John Gallman will be officiating.Memorial contributions may be made in Jeannes name to the Grace United Methodist Church, 1822 Madison St., Lawtey, Florida 32058 or to the Florida United Methodist Childrens Home, 51 Childrens Way, Enterprise, FL 32725.
