Cory Miller

It is with much sadness and deep love that we say goodbye to our son, brother, brother-in-law, father, uncle, nephew and cousin Cory Lee "Bowdy" Miller. Cory, age 35, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 27, 2021 He was born on February 8, 1986, in Calvert County, Maryland to parents Randal Carl Miller and Tammie Ling (Rose) Mittlesteadt. Corys greatest loves were his family, his children and his church. Cory wrote his own rules, lived a roller coaster life and if you said he couldnt do it, he would prove you wrong. He was funny, loud, the life of the party, pulling pranks and chasing you around the yard with bottle rockets. Boy was he a talker and a storyteller. He enjoyed boating, fishing, playing pool, cards, bowling and spending time at the Green Cove City pier and park. He loved animals, dancing and was a huge movie buff. But most of all he loved to cook. Cory had a big heart, beautiful smile and had the greatest hugs. Cory is a member of Hibernia Baptist Church in Fleming Island, FL where he spent his Sundays learning the word of God. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carl W. Miller and Sandra Lee Miller and maternal grandparents Harold Eugene Owens and Barbara Ann (Ludwig) Browning. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Tammie and Kurt Mittlesteadt, of Green Cove Springs, FL. He was the father of twins-Cameron and Isaiah Bennett of Jacksonville Beach, FL. and Leon Miller of Jacksonville, FL. Brother to Randi C. Miller of Green Cove Springs, FL. and Carli A. (Miller) Seward (Anthony) of Indiana and Matthew White of Gainsville, Georgia. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews, Jaden A.B. Miller of Green Cove Springs, FL, Jacob R. Seward, Elaina R. Seward and Abigail A. Seward of Indiana. Family and friends are invited for visitation 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday September 17, 2021 at Hibernia Baptist Church 7100 US-17, Fleming Island 32003, service at 2:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at Whiteys Fish Camp 2032 County Rd 220, Fleming Island, Fl 32003 Arrangements under the care of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, SR 16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. 904-284-9696.
