Obituary

Craig William Voight, of Keystone Heights Florida, passed away on February 7th, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his family both at his side, and with him in spirit, at Haven Hospice. Craig was originally from Columbia, Pennsylvania. He was born on April 5th, 1947. Craigs family moved south relatively early in his life, and he spent most of his life in Northeast and North Central Florida. He went to Orange Park High School and participated in the band program, even mastering Flight of the Bumblebee on his saxophone! He was also a strong football player. He served in the Army under the 101st Airborne after high school, and later adventured all over the country visiting state parks with his family. He especially liked Colorado and spent many hours on the internet searching for his dream home. He was a professional butcher, a tomato and kumquat gardener, and a stellar chess player. He had impeccable taste in a wide variety of music and enjoyed nothing more than being by the water. He was a loving husband, brother, son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Surviving are his children: Mark, Ange, Cindy, Jennifer, Dolorianne, Christina, Michael, and Grace. His grandchildren: Brooke, Sebastian, Joshua, Cyndi, Tiffany, Jacob, Faith, David, Cory, Brendan, Keegan, Kolby, Siara, and MK. His great-grandchildren: Rain, Moega, McKena, and Braelyn. His siblings: Susan and John. His nieces and nephews: Cassidy, Chase, and Cory. Missing him almost as much are his pets: Tiger, Oreo, and Piper. His relationships, both with other family and many friends throughout his life, were full of love, laughter, and dad jokes. Welcoming him to heaven will be his loving wife, Darlene, his son, David, as well as his grandchildren, Dylan and Ava, his brother, Ronnie, his mother, Helen, and his father, Carl. As per his wishes, a celebration of life will be held with family and friends in the summer. Those who knew him are welcome to attend at Gold Head State Park on June 7th, 2025.
