Cynthia Gail Deason McConville, 77, of Keystone Heights, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 7, 2025, in Gainesville surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born on September 14, 1948, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to Ernest Eugene and Louise (Hassett) Deason. Cynthia grew up with a kind spirit and a gentle heart that she carried throughout her life. She spent her later years working as a receptionist at a veterinary practice, where her deep love for animals and caring nature shone through every day. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed shopping and being with her family.

Cynthia very much-loved God and Country, family and friends. She had a big heart and could make anyone smile by smiling at them first. She was a hard-tough worker outside, yet clean and tidy inside. Her pets were spoiled and sometimes hand fed……making sure they were fed, clean, and safe, like they were her children, including wild animals. She rescued many into her home until it was time to let them go. Her relaxing time was to sunbathe or burn wood and tend to the fire. Another way for her to relax was shopping…whether new things or thrift store, in person or online! She loved the color blue, and anything shiny. Cynthia will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the joy she brought to those around her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings Randall "Randy" Deason, and Belinda A. Pierce. She leaves behind her devoted sister, Pamela Lazzaro, nephews Rob, Jeff and Justin along with many other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Graveside service for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Central Time. Interment will be at Vincent Cemetery in Vincent, Alabama.

Services for Cynthia are entrusted to Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 340 East Walker Drive, Keystone Heights, Florida, 32656.
