Cynthia "Gail" Roberts

Mrs. Cynthia "Gail" Roberts 71 of Waldo passed away at her home Sunday, May 16, 2021. She was born February 2, 1950, in Jacksonville to Daniel and Barbara (Beach) Richey, Jr. Gail was raised in the Baptist faith and worked many years in the University Book Store. She enjoyed word games especially scrabble, taking trips to Biloxi and watching Gator Football. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Dwight Fletcher Roberts and brothers Michael Floyd Richey and Daniel William Richey. Gail is survived by her husband of 38 plus years Jerald "Jerry" Roberts and their son Larry Eugene Roberts along with two sisters Joyce Land and Janet Russell. She was also lovingly called "Granny" by Taylor, Kaylee, Blake and three great-grandchildren. A Celebration of life for Gail will be held in the Waldo Baptist Church Family Life Center11:00 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, with Pastor Jim Dubois officiating. A private burial will follow at Laurel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
