Dan Wayne Smith

Mr. Dan W. Smith age 85, of Keystone Heights passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville. He was born July 22, 1935, in Clanton, Alabama to the late Frank and Delene (Cox) Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired Cattleman and Nursery Owner. He was a member of Fresh Start Fellowship and was known for the delicious tomatoes he grew; he had the nick name "Tomato Dan". Mr. Smith leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years Ann (Crawley) Smith and children Dan Wayne Smith II, Dottie Bacon, Ike (Pat) Smith, Connie (Kevin) Wyatt, Wendy (Randy) Fail, Sherry Hay, Tammy Carney, Tommy (Kellie) Carney, and Melinda (Charles) Weir. Also left behind is his brother John (Marsha) Smith; brother in-laws Charles (Judy) Crawley and Chris (Kim) Crawley along with a sister in-law Linda (Bruce) Mihlfeld along with 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Smith will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Fresh Start Fellowship with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
