Mrs. Dana M. Napier, age 36, lifelong resident of Starke, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Shands UF in Gainesville. She was born October of 1976 in Gainesville to Michael and Lynne Newsome. Dana was a graduate of the University of Florida and had received a Bachelors degree in Public Relations. She was involved with many clubs and organizations. Dana enjoyed the art of photography. She is survived by her husband of 2 years, Shane Napier, her parents, Michael and Lynne (Marzloff) Newsome, newborn son, Zander Michael Napier, step-children, Ryan Napier and Hailey Napier, a sister, Chris Whitehead and husband, Terry, nieces, Kaylie Whitehead and Maci Whitehead all of Starke and a nephew, Hunter Whitehead of Marion County. Dana is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held 4:00PM, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Madison Street Baptist Church with Brother Justin Kirksey officiating.
