Daniel Ernest Johns

Mr. Daniel Ernest Johns age 38, of Starke passed away at his home, Wednesday, September 6, 2017. He was born in Gainesville on February 18, 1979, and was a 1997 graduate of Bradford High School. Daniel was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an avid Florida Gator fan, enjoyed being outdoors and was a car enthusiast. He especially enjoyed dominating the Sellers Showcase Fantasy Football League as a four time League Champion. Most of all, Daniel loved his family and took great pride in his niece and two nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his father Robert Lex Johns; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Opal Allen; and his paternal grandmother, Mildred Johns. Survivors are his mother, Joyce (Allen) Johns of Starke; his brother, Andy Lex Johns and his wife Traci, along with their three children, Noah, Sarah and Elijah Johns all of Keystone Heights. Also left behind are numerous family members and close friends that were considered Daniels second family. Memorial services for Daniel Ernest Johns will be held Thursday, September 21st at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1305 Raiford Road, Starke, FL. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-6:45 pm in the Relief Society room with the memorial service to begin at 7:00 pm in the Chapel.
