Darin Paul Gouldrup

Mr. Darin Paul Gouldrup, Sr. age 51, of Starke passed away March 2, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville following an extended illness. He was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on July 4, 1965 to the late Paul W. and Patricia Ann (McGrath) Gouldrup and was a veteran of the United States Army serving 10 years. Darin had worked with the Virginia State Police Department for 30 years and retired as a Corporal in 2016. He loved golfing along with football and baseball. Darin also enjoyed boogie boarding at the beach, traveling, and camping with wife Brenda. He was also a collector of sports memorabilia and coins. Darin was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that was loved by many people. His survivors are his wife, Brenda (Wine); five children, Darin Paul Gouldrup, Jr. of Kentucky, Austin Gouldrup of Starke, Rachel Thompson of Gainesville, John Gavalya and Mark Gavalya both of Virginia. Also left behind is a sister, Debbie Look of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; a brother, Danny Gouldrup of Marthas Vineyard, Massachusetts; eight wonderful grandchildren; and his German Shepard, Baron. A memorial service for Darin will be held at a later date. Flowers are will be appreciated or a donation can be made to the Rheumatoid Vasculitis Foundation.
