Darlene Jane Toombs

Mrs. Darlene Jane Toombs age 83 of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, May 29, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born March 30, 1937, in Peekskill, New York to Robert and Theresa (Resling) Lent. Mrs. Toombs was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ in Keystone. She was also a longtime member of T.O.P.S. in Melrose, and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and watching western shows. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Carol Toombs in 2014. Mrs. Toombs is survived by her five children Nancy Scofield of Kerhonkson, New York, Karen Swart (Bruce) of Saugerties, New York, Keith Toombs (Anna) of Accord, New York, Robert Toombs (Mary Ellen) of Keystone Heights and Randy Toombs (Dawn) of Starke. Also left behind are fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date with interment in the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
