Mr. Darren "Gerbil" Eugene Mosley age 50 of Middleburg passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Mr. Mosley was born on January 20, 1972 in Green Cove Springs to the late Edward Eugene "Gene" Mosley and Linda May (Loper) Mosley. He was a lifelong resident of Clay County. Darren worked for Vallencourt Construction in Green Cove Springs, as a heavy equipment operator. He loved dirt track racing, cooking on the grill and his family. He always had a smile for everyone, never meeting a stranger and was a giving person. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Esther Mosley, maternal grandparents, Ben and Florence Loper. Survivors are, siblings, Jana Marie Mosley (Daniel Pierce) of Middleburg, Carrie April Mosley of Jacksonville, Benjamin Edward Mosley of Middleburg. Nieces and nephews: Nicole Mosley, Brooklyn Pierce, A.J. Pierce, Alex Pierce, Holden Foster and Easton Foster. Also left behind are numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends that Darren held dear. The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home of Starke on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jamie Wyatt officiating all services.
