David Osborne Barber age 73 of Starke passed away at his home on Saturday, January 1, 2022. David was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 29, 1948. Following high school Mr. Barber honorably served eight years in the United States Air Force. While stationed in Thailand he met the love of his life Unchalle "Srivibul" Barber. The happy couple were married for 48 wonderful years. David was a devote husband, father, granddad, and brother that was willing to lend a helping hand. Later, he retired from Union Correctional Institute as a correctional officer. During his free-time he enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and watching sports.He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Terriana Reed. Survivors include, his wife Unchalee "Srivibul" Barber; children, Loat (Melissa) Srivibul; Noy (Donnie) Harrington and Angela (Christopher) Ramer; brother, Billy (Mary Lou) Barber; sisters, Debbie (Jimmy) Crews and Sandra Barber; grandchildren, Sidney Srivibul, Kaila Reed, Jaik Srivibul, Drake Harrington, Asia Harrington, Eden Srivibul, and Malia Miller; 5 great-grandchildren; aunt, Elsie Rhoden, nephew, Garrett Barber and many other family members and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with military honors. A visitation will precede the services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Rev. Diane Wilson of the First Presbyterian Church of Starke.
