David C. Blanton Funeral services for David C. Blanton, 81, who died November 4, 2011, will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206 with Rev. Frank J. Pintello Jr., and Rev. Buddy Wimberly officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Blanton was born in Perry, Florida and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, the late Georgia Marie White Blanton; son, Terry Gene Blanton, sister, Charadee Blanton and brother, Rubin Blanton. Survivors include his 2 special friends, Mrs. Martha ONeal and Mrs. Nancy Manning. 1 daughter, Brenda Gale Blanton Browning; 1 son, C. Gary Blanton (Georgeann); 4 sisters, Della Mae Saddler (Harvey), Emily Townsend (Tommy), Susie McNutt, and Linda Mann (Gene); 6 brothers, R. M.
