On Monday, July 26, 2021, David Clark, cherished husband and father, passed away at the age of 54. David was born on October 28, 1966 in Flint, Michigan to Phillip and Carol (Kline) Clark. He graduated Gainesville High School in 1985 and went on to play one season of college football at Mount Union in Ohio. He returned home and went on to coach football at GHS and then attend the police academy graduating in 1988. He earned his AA from Santa Fe Community College. David had a 33-year career with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, looking to retire in 2023. On March 3, 2001, he married Lisa Christine LeRoy and raised three beautiful children. David was dedicated to his family first and then coaching. He coached youth lacrosse and high school football and lacrosse for Oak Hall School. He was also dedicated to his job, serving 17 years on the SWAT team for ACSO during his long career. David also enjoyed fishing, time on the water and spending time with his family and friends. David is survived by his wife, Lisa and children, Georgia, Audrey and Wesley, his parents Phillip and Carol and his sister Christine. A remembrance service will be held for David on August 7, 2021 at 10:00am at Green House Church. Masks will be required to attend the service.
