Gainesville - David J. Hudson, 66, of Gainesville, FL passed away on July 6, 2015 at his home.David was born in Chicago, IL and moved to this area over 20 years ago from Miami. Dave worked at the Gainesville Veteran's Hospital and was passionate about his work as a social worker. He loved to read and broaden his knowledge from his books.He is survived by daughter, Lisa Baker and husband Eric of Glen Ellyn, IL; son, Josh Hudson and fiance, Jenna of Greensboro, NC; brother, Jim Hudson of Port Orange, FL.There will be a celebration of life service at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm.
