David Wayne Monroe of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at the age of 63. He was surrounded by his loving family as he was called home.David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Faye Monroe, his daughters Jennifer Monroe and Angie Norman, identical twin brother Danny (Liz) Monroe, sisters Judy (Jimmy) Pruett, Jerri (Eddie) Lockwood, Tammy (Brian) Etheredge, Wanda Dow. His grandchildren Austin, Anthony, Allison, Jasmyn, Cameron, and many nieces and nephews.David was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and then later moved to Jacksonville when he was a toddler. He was a forklift mechanic for over 40 years and was employed with Toyota Industrial Equipment most of those years. David loved camping, fishing, and watching old westerns. He loved his dog Buster, and grew attached to his brothers dog Truman. David was a member of Highlands Baptist Church on Broward Road in Jacksonville, Florida. His service will be held at the church on Saturday, January 27th at 11:00 am. His nephew Pastor Donald Shearin Jr will be officiating. There will be no graveside service. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by; George H.
