David Joseph Prusak

Mr. David Joseph Prusak age 69, of Starke passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville. Dave was born on April 24, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Patricia (Olejniezak) Prusak. He moved to Starke 5 years ago from Ocala and was an over the road truck driver before retiring. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, boating, telling jokes, and collecting guns. He loved football and NASCAR, being an avid Detroit Lions and Jimmy Johnson fan. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sandra Wall; and two fur babies, Marino and Pee Wee. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Regina "Jeannie" D. Prusak of Starke; son, Scott Prusak (Marsha) of St. Augustine; daughter, Tracy Greenwell (Douglas) of Tampa; stepchildren, Hazel Schmidt (Brian) of Ft. Meyers and Gary Lagueux, Jr. of Conover, Wisconsin; and brothers, Dan Prusak (Joy) of Caledonia, Michigan and Donald Prusak, Jr. (Kim) of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Marrissa Greenwell, Sierra Greenwell, Ashley Prusak, Riley Prusak, Chase Prusak, and Hayden Prusak; fur baby, King "Too Tall" Kong; special friends, Danny Crouse, Karen Evans Overcash, Todd Overcash, Mike Sheffield and his daughter, Kayden; along with numerous other family members and friends.Private family services will be held at a later date.
