Mr. David Allen Shoenberger 65 of Green Cove Springs passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio and had served in the United States Navy. Mr. Shoenberger had been a resident of Green Cove Springs since 1981 moving here from Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to his retirement he had worked in the purchasing department for Vac-Con in Green Cove Springs. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his wonderful grandchildren, putting together model airplanes, and before his wife passing away he and Carol would love to just get in their car and take long rides. It didnt matter where they went as long as they were together. His WIfe Caro and his father George Shoenberger had preceded him in death. Survivors are his sons; David Shoenberger and his wife Michelle of Middleburg, Kevin Shoenberger of Green Cove Springs, and his mother; Nellie (Jones) Shoenberger of Youngstown, Ohio. He also leaves behind his siblings; Mary Jane, Chuck, and Walt all of Ohio, Patty of Maryland, Margaret and Sandra both of Pennsylvania, and the grandchildren he adored so much, Emily, Cody, Nathan, Reese, and Tristan. He is also survived by his one great grandson Conner which has yet to arrive. At the request of Mr. Shoenberger there will be no services held.
