Mrs. Gettig was born in Athens, Tennessee and was a 10 year resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of Fanning Springs Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Adel Pisano, and son, Raymond Jacob Howard; Survivors include her loving husband of almost 26 years, Richard B. Gettig; 5 sons, Raymond Wayne Howard (Libby), Daniel Douglas Howard (Liliy), Noah McGill, Brian Gettig, and Ricky Sarno (Lucyann); 3 sisters, Tommie Thornton, Beverly Curtis (Tommy), and Barbara Fisk; 4 brothers, Robert Gentry, Jimmy Gentry (Marg), and Larry Poninski (Amanda); 6 grandchildren, Trysten Howard, Kelton Howard, Camron Howard, Kassidy Howard, Ariana Hahn, and Cheyenne Gunier.
