Mrs. Deborah Jo Powell, age 71, of Starke passed away at her home, Monday, March 24, 2025. She was born May 28, 1953, in Pennsylvania to Jack and Margaret (Stephens) Moyer. Mrs. Powell retired from Mctrans at the University of Florida as a software sales agent. She was known to be an all-around good person to all that crossed her path. Mrs. Powell enjoyed crafts where she enjoyed sewing clothes for the family, but the highlight of her day was watching her husband working in the garden. Mrs. Powell was loved by her family, and her grandchildren always held a special place in her heart. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Greco and many other loved ones. Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 17 years Doyle M. Powell, and daughter Teresa Thomas. Also left behind are her grandchildren Justin Thomas, Kassandra Thomas, Kyle Thomas, Brittany Helton, Sampson Helton, and twelve great grandchildren. A time of gathering or Mrs. Powell will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, in the DeWitt C.
