Ms. Debra "Debbie" L. Rivera Whaley, 61 of Green Cove Springs, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Ms. Whaley was born October 24, 1960 in Ashland, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Ramey and Norma (Atkins) Blevins. Debbie was the owner of a florist shop in Interlachen Florida for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and tending to her flowers. Surviving her are her son, Scott J. Roark, Jr. and his wife Sheila, of Green Cove Springs Florida, her daughter, Melissa Ann Maynard of Greenup Kentucky. Also a sister, Sue Ramsey and her husband Bill, as well as their daughter Rebekah, from Flatwoods Kentucky. Miss Whaley has three brothers, Clifford Ramey, Jr., Johnny Ramey, and Christopher Ramey from Ashland Kentucky. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Kimberly Leann Roark, Scott J. Roark, III, Joshua Dean Roark, and Austin Roark. Debbie loved her kids and said her kids meant more to her than anything. Debbie was strong in her faith and loved to share that faith with the people she loved. Although she will be deeply missed by all, we are happy she is now in the arms of her Lord.There will be no services held at this time.
