Debra 'Debbie' Wood

Debra "Debbie" Wood 65, of Jacksonville, Florida born on May 1, 1951 went home to be with the lord on July 26, 2016. Debra was well known for the 30 years spent working at Florida Blue where she retired. She was a top performer in Claims Processing and Quality Auditor. Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Wood; Father, William Wood; Sister, Carol Hamm, Brother, William "Billy" Wood. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Cindy Wolfe; Brother, Mark Wood; Step-mother, Joyce Wood; Nephew, Michael Hamm; Step daughters, Heather York and Kristen Wolfe. Grandchildren, Sophia, Dylan, Landon, and Blake. Debra graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. Besides her love for family and friends, her other greatest love include being a #1 Gator Fan, and Jaguars Football. Football season was the highlight of her year. She was an avid animal lover. She cared and loved her cats and dogs as her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to: Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating.
