Ms. Delinda "Lyn" Dowling 57 of Melrose passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born March 23, 1966, in Gainesville to Glenda Ann (Nobles) and the late Jimmy Ray Hall. Lyn started her working career with Sunbank where she received Employee of the Month on several occasions, with her most current employment being a cashier with Winn Dixie. She was a member of Eliam Baptist Church and loved being a mom. In addition to her biological father, she was also preceded in death by her sister Debbie Hall, and maternal grandmother Ann Nobles, grandfather Russell Nobles and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hall. Lyn leaves behind her son Stephen Dowling (Molly Paul) of Gainesville; parents Alan and Glenda Eldred of Melrose; siblings Dana Sampsell (Larry) of Melrose, Debbie Eldred (Gina Gibbs) of Gainesville, Michelle Eldred (Bobby McKenzie) of Gainesville, Trystyn, Dylan, and Noah Gaffney all of Melrose. Also left behind are additional family members and a host of friends that will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
