Mr. Delmer Lee GossettMr. Delmer Lee Gossett age 92, of Starke passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mr. Gossett was born on February 11, 1920 in Hackleburg, Alabama to the late William Walter and Sarah (Pearlee) Gossett and moved to Starke 22 years ago from Michigan. Prior to retirement he worked in Shipping/Receiving for a Winery, worked as a policeman and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Paw Paw, Michigan and was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors are: his wife of 71 years Ardelia (Starling) Gossett of Starke; children: Edward Gossett (Donna) of Paw Paw, MI; Janie Macek (Larry) of Decatur, MI; Shirley Eubanks (Charles) of Port Charlotte; Barbara Wood of Lake City; sisters: Lorene Mohney of Kalamazoo, MI; Zelmer Mae Ellis of Lake City; ten grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL, 620 E. Nona Street in Starke on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock.
