Dewie E. Hillhouse

Dewie M Hillhouse, 92, of Cross Creek, Florida, went home to be with the Lord our Father on May 13, 2016. He was born on April 6, 1924 to William and Molly Hillhouse. When he was 17 years old, Mr. Hillhouse enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for 21 years. In 1963, he moved to Jupiter, FL where he worked for Pratt & Whitney Aviation, building airplane motors. At retirement in 1984, Dewie and his wife Edith moved to Cross Creek, Florida. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Edith M. Hillhouse and his son William F. Borger. He is survived by his grandson, William Borger, granddaughter Katrina Mercer, great-granddaughter Chantel Petras, great-grandson James Mercer, nephews, James and Irvin Cason, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mr. Hillhouse during visitation hours on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, FL 32609. Graveside funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, FL with Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
