Diana Diaz was born to the late Enrique and Angela Hernandez, in Bronx, New York on November 17, 1959. She was the second out of four children. She resided in Augusta, GA before settling in Jacksonville, FL. Diana was blessed with a large and loving family. She provided 35 years of service to the United States Army Corps of Engineers.Diana had the spirit and personality of a lioness. For she embodied creativity, originality, and resourcefulness, we all knew that she was just a fierce, feisty, and brave as a lioness. Diana will always be known as the woman who loved hard and protected her own, but you would never want to deceive her.Diana was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage, a true New York Yankees fan and made sure it was displayed in every aspect of her life. She was passionate about arts and crafts. Most of all she was an avid collector of anything miniature, antique, unique, and colorful. From Beanie Babies, glass shoes, Mini Brands, and toy Volkswagens to Souvenirs and wall hangings of old buildings from New York and Puerto Rico.Diana is survived by her loving husband, Robert Diaz, her daughter Michelle M. Lopez, a stepdaughter Ana Elena and a stepson Ricardo Antonio. A sister Laura Turner, two brothers; Enrique and Roberto Hernandez, a granddaughter; Jaylani Michelle and a grandson; Matai Manuel. A graveside service for Diana H. Diaz, 61 of Jacksonville, FL will be held in the Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday March 26, 2021 between the hours of 6:00-8:00 PM at George H.
