Mrs. Dolly Lucille SimpsonMrs. Dolly Lucille Simpson age 80, of Starke passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Simpson was born on June 15, 1931 in Dennison, Ohio to the late Oscar R. and May (Garabrandt) Russell and was a longtime area resident. She owned and operated Nancys Flowers in Starke, and later worked at Winn Dixie. Dolly was a member of First Christian Church in Starke and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband George B. Simpson and her brothers: William Russell and Thomas Russell. Survivors are: sister: Nancy Frantz of New Philadelphia, OH; niece: Vicki Graziano (Shawn) of Glendale, AZ; nephew: Bill Martin (Julie) of New Philadelphia, OH; special friends and caregivers: Stephanie and Bill Merrill of Starke; Mildred Petteway of Starke; special friends: Bob and Donna Milner and Tammy and Wade Winkler all of Starke. A viewing will be held at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock. Pastor Charles Soper will officiate. Interment will follow in Crosby Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
