It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dolores “Donna” Irene Mouro, 84, born on February 4, 1942, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Donna peacefully departed this world on July 19, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family.

Donna proudly served in the United States Army for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. She loved to cook for her family and was an avid animal lover.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, George F. Mouro III; and son, Rick Newell. Dolores was a devoted mother and a cherished friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her beloved children, Kim Steedman-Soloway (Steve), Bobby Newell (Rachel), Daughter in law, Kim Newell; Donna Thigpen; George F. Mouro IV (Jaime); Grandchildren: Megan Soulsby (Cody), DJ Steedman (Alexis), Matt Soloway (Ani), Danielle Soloway-Johnson (John), Alan Prevost, Noah Newell, Piper Newell, , Savannah Newell, Caroline Newell (Carey) Alice Thigpen, Emily Mouro (Devin), Georgia Mouro (Zach), Faith Mouro

Great Grandchildren: Dracen Soulsby, Emily Soulsby, Hunter Soulsby, Lillie Steedman, Lucas Steedman, Gavin Newell, Peyton Kirkland, Ethan Mctyre.

Donna is also survived by her brother, Richard Kirk, sister-in-law Judy Kirk and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, George, Donna dedicated much of her life to her work as President of A1 Laundry, Inc. where she combined her business acumen with her warm spirit, fostering a welcoming environment for both employees and customers alike. She was also a proud member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, where her faith guided her values and her compassion for others.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23rd 6pm – 8pm, with a Rosary Prayer Service held at 7pm, in the Chapel of Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., South, 32216.

A Catholic funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 24th, 11:00am, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. 32246, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she has left on all of our hearts.
