Dolores Virginia McCormack Mouro MOURO, Dolores Virginia - McCormack, 78, died on Monday, October 28, 2013 in Durham, NC. She was born to the late Eran and Alethia McCormack in Jacksonville, Florida. Dolores graduated from Landon High School in 1952. She married the late Robert Vernon Mouro on August 15, 1953, and resided in Jacksonville, FL. After high school, she worked for a short time with the local phone company where she met her husband. She went to work for the Duval County School Board in September 1974 and retired after 25 years of loyal service. She has been a faithful member of the South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. Family and friends meant the world to Dolores. She loved to host and entertain and was such a great cook. She was a wonderful seamstress and sewed many beautiful clothes for her twin daughters. She loved to travel and took many trips with her beloved husband over the years. Dolores is survived by her three children: son Robert V. Mouro Jr. (Cary, NC); daughter Teri Mouro Sherman (Scotch Plains, NJ); daughter Tami Mouro Traster (Keller, TX); and grandchildren Steven and Andrew Mouro, and Ryan and Kaitlyn Traster and sisters, Joan Thomas Weller and Shirley Shirey.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. on Friday, November 8, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 9, 2013 in South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church with Dr. Vincent K. Kolb officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, there will be a reception at the South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church in Harvin Hall.
