Donald Gordon Chase

Barbara Jean and Donald Gordon Chase of Lawtey passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. Barbara was born on March 12, 1933 in Haverhill, MA to the late Rudolph T. and Hedwig (Trzcinski) Rurack. Donald was born on February 5, 1934 in Newburyport, MA to the late Warren and Loydia (Skivicki) Chase. They were married on June 6, 1966 and moved to Bradford County in 1989 from Vermont. Prior to retirement Mrs. Chase was a Hospital Medical Assistant, working for Shands at the University of Florida for many years and Mr. Chase was a retired Security Officer and served in the Army National Guard. They were of the Catholic faith and enjoyed camping, traveling and fishing. Barbara also enjoyed reading, knitting and crossword puzzles while Donald enjoyed hunting. Survivors are, children: Darlene A. Chase of Hawthorne, Eric M. Chase of Lawtey, and their grandson: Seth. Donald is also survived by his sister: Helen Crepe.
