Donald Ray Edwards, 78, of Jacksonville passed away on December 11, 2014. A native of Jacksonville, he was born April 15, 1936 to William and Euphie Edwards. Mr. Edwards served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was also known for his tall tales. Donald was Catholic and a member of Prince of Peace. He is survived by his wife Rose Marie; four children, William R. (Penny) Edwards, Linda Wilsey, David W. (Sue) Edwards and Chris "TC" (Marica) Edwards; a sister Betty Jean Hill; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 10 am with Fr. Larkin officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Florida at communityhospice.com, or the Winn Dixie Hope Lodge in Gainesville at cancer.org.
