Donald Wayne Frees, age 73, passed away after facing illness with strength and grace on July 26. 2026, in Palatka, Florida. He was born on January 21, 1953, Jacksonville, Florida.

Donald was a devoted husband, proud father, and dedicated employee of the Bradford County Road Department, where he served faithfully for 42 years. He took immense pride in serving his community and was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

Outside of work, Donald enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved watching classic Westerns and football while finding joy in cheering on the Florida Gators. These moments, shared with family and friends, created lasting memories that will be forever cherished.

Above all, Donald loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudette Frees; his devoted daughter, Jennifer Frees; his cherished grandchildren, Austin, and Ashley Underwood; and two sisters, Vicki Powell and Kathy Whitehead who will always carry his love, wisdom, and strength with them. Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
