Funeral Services for Donald Lionel Lowe, of Jacksonville, FL will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11am with Rev. Eliut Alicea officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. A visitation will be held between the hours of 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the funeral home. Mr. Lowe was born May 16,1932 in Big Timber Montana to M.L. Lowe and Genevieve Lowe, he passed away January 3, 2023 in Jacksonville Florida. Mr. Lowe served in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War, and worked as a barber at Lees Barber Shop on Jacksonvilles Southside for 56 years. Those who knew Don respected and loved him.He was proceeded in death by his wife of 40 years Shirley C. Lowe, Father and Mother M.L. Lowe and Genevieve Rhodes Lowe; two sisters, Gladys Makeeff and Juanita Wagner and Brother Calvin L. Lowe. He is survived by his two brothers, Alfred C. (Doris) Lowe of Washburn North Dakota, Glen O. (Linda) Lowe of Jacksonville Florida and a sister, Delores (Alfred) Fournier of Crystal River Florida. Many nephews and nieces, as well as his stepchildren, Robyn Rayburn, Susan Rayburn and Mary Joyce (Larry) Lockwood of Jacksonville, Florida, and Scott Rayburn of Portland Oregon.
