Donald E. McGory was born April 12, 1929 and passed away on March 25, 2016 at the age of 86. He was a long term resident of Turkey Creek in Alachua, FL. Don retired from Nationwide Insurance after 32 years of service and was an avid golfer.He leaves behind his wife, Maggie, after 62 years of marriage and his sister, Nellie Beams of Tennessee.Family and friends may gather at the Chapel in the Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville on Tuesday, March 29 for a viewing from 11:00 am until the time of the service which will begin at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow.Arrangements are in the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home (352)378-2528.
