Donald LaGene Russell, age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday August 7, 2018 after a lengthy battle with Multiple System Atrophy. Visitation will be heldMonday August 13, 2018between7-9 pm.Funeral Services will be heldTuesday August 14, 2018 @ 1:00 pm.Both Services will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home located at725 NW 23rd Ave. Interment will follow at Forest Meadows Cemetery.Donald was born on June 12, 1948 in Huntsville, Alabama. He served the Gainesville community as a business owner and contractor for nearly 50 years. He was a man of faith and a devoted member of The Family Church in Gainesville, Florida.Donald was an avid traveler and embodied the spirit of adventure. His love for travel ultimately led him to Costa Rica where he made life long friendships and would eventually own property. His hobbies also included gardening and operating a cattle farm. He loved spending time with his wife and children, hosting family gatherings, and celebrating holidays.Donald was survived by his devoted wife and partner of 42 years Debra L. Russell, son Donald J.
