Donna Jean Hoffman

Mrs. Donna Jean Hoffman, age 63, passed away after a long illness on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Palm Garden of Gainesville.

Mrs. Hoffman was hardworking and had a passion for drawing and painting. She loved the beach, gardening, and taking care of animals.

Donna was born on July 12, 1962, in Toronto, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Gene Hoffman, and her parents, Ford and Sheila Eldridge.

She was the beloved mother of her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Alan Wight of Gainesville, Florida, as well as her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Hayli Hoffman of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by her sisters, Gracie Millicent Strawn of St. Augustine, Florida, Elizabeth Ann Eldridge of Pennsylvania, and Sheila Diane Eldridge of Keystone Heights, Florida; her grandchildren, Oaklynn Hoffman and Harlie Wight; and her step-grandchildren, Aiden, Brooklyn, and Connor.

Donna's absence is deeply felt, but so is the love she leaves behind.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Dale Raatz of Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Gainesville.

A graveside and burial service will follow at Forest Meadows Central Cemetery, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32606.
