Mrs. Donna Johnson Keener age 51, of Hampton passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Keener was born on September 7, 1961 in Starke and was a lifelong area resident. Donna worked for A Bradford Plus Insurance Agency and was raised a Baptist. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, the great outdoors including picnics, grilling, and taking long rides. She also enjoyed home canning, reading, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors are: her husband of 25 years Roger Keener of Hampton; children: Chris Johnson (Carmella) of Melrose; Brian Nugent (Rebecca) of Starke; Brandi Hart of Hot Springs, NC; Parents: Marie and Otis Melton of Starke; father: Fred Johnson of Hampton; mother-in-law: Christine Gratsy of Clyde, NC; siblings: Monna Nugent of Keystone Heights; Marlana Pinkston (Ronny) of Worthington Springs; Malinda Melton (Jason Crosby) of Starke; Kaitlyn Harper (Reuben) of Melrose; David Johnson (Robin) of Hampton; Daniel Johnson and Marty Johnson both of Starke; nine grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Donnas Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Jones Gallagher Funeral Home to assist with expenses. hide
