Doris J. Jackson, age 78, of Starke and formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. Mrs. Jackson was born May 10, 1935 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Charlie and Clara Estelle (Crider) Cain. She was a member of Russell Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson. Mrs. Jackson is survived by 2 daughters, Freena Lockwood of Keystone Heights, Bobbie Thompson of Interlachen, a sister-in-law, Catherine Cain of West Blocton, AL, several grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Russell Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the start of the funeral at the church. hide
